What is Mobile DNA Testing?
Mobile DNA testing is an excellent alternative if you are unable to travel to our office to have your DNA samples collected.
Our mobile DNA sample collectors collect DNA samples in compliance with our partner AABB accredited DNA testing laboratory.
DNA samples are collected in the comfort of your home, hospital, office, prison, local jails, Funeral homes or anywhere you deem private.
How to the process works
- Contact our office at 877-680-5800 to schedule an appointment.
- A DNA sample collector will contact you 2 hours before your schedule appointment time to confirm your appointment.
- After your DNA samples are collected, your DNA samples will be dropped off at FedEx to be shipped to the laboratory by the DNA collector.
- When the lab receives your samples results will be available within 2 to 3 business days.
- Results will be emailed to you and a physical copy will be mailed to your home at your instruction.
Alternative DNA Testing Options
Sibling DNA Testing
A sibling DNA test will evaluate the connection between two or more people to determine if they are biologically related as full or half siblings. This test is performed when one or both biological parents are unavailable to be tested.
Maternity DNA Testing
Maternity testing is a genetic test that compares a child’s DNA profile to that of a woman to scientifically determine if she is the biological mother.
Grandparent DNA Testing
DNA Grandparent testing compares the DNA between a grandparent and grandchild to scientifically determine if they share the biological relationship claimed.

Please note that the IDTO DNA Testing Center’s partner laboratory does not share any personal or genetic information with third-party companies.
All information provided to our partner laboratory is kept secure and will only be released to third parties with the explicit consent of the participants involved or by court-order.DNA samples on file are kept for 3 months on average than destroyed.

What is the difference between legal and non-legal mobile DNA testing?
The difference between a legal and non-legal mobile DNA test is the use of your DNA results. Non-legal test results cannot be used for information purposes only.
Both mobile DNA testing options will require the participants complete the chain of custody form, have their DNA sample collected by our DNA Collector, the collector will take pictures of all parties being tested and a picture of the participants ID.
Is mobile DNA Testing covered by insurance?
As we understand it. Health insurance companies do not view DNA paternity testing as a medical issue. But, we still recommend that you contact your insurance company to inquire whether this testing option is covered.
In the event, this is a service your insurance company covers. It is important to note, IDTO does not accept insurance directly.
To receive the benefit of your insurance coverage you will be required to pay the cost of your DNA paternity test upfront and submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement.
