immigration DNA Testing In egypt

Immigration DNA testing for Egyptians may be suggested when a petitioner submits a family-based U.S. immigrant visa, passport, Immediate Relative (IR-2), Family Preference (F-4) or Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) application and the evidence provided is deemed insufficient to establish the claimed biological relationship.

IDTO DNA is a U.S.-based immigration DNA testing company that assists U.S.-based petitioners and beneficiaries seeking to initiate the immigration DNA testing process. Our goal is to help families remain compliant with USCIS and the U.S. Embassy in Cairo evidence submission guidelines.

All DNA testing services we provide are performed by our partner AABB-accredited laboratory. This accreditation helps ensure that your testing process follows strict chain-of-custody procedures, including DNA sample collection coordination through the U.S. Embassy, and that your results are accepted by immigration-related agencies.

How to Get Started

Voluntary immigration DNA testing can be a useful tool to help petitioners prove a claimed biological relationship when little or no credible evidence is available during the immigrant visa (IV), passport, or CRBA process. Below is a brief overview of how to begin the DNA testing process.

  1. Receive the Proper Documentation
The petitioner or beneficiary should first receive a Request for Evidence I-130 (RFE) from USCIS or written correspondence from the U.S. Embassy suggesting or requesting DNA testing. This step is important because immigration agencies generally require the testing process to follow a specific chain-of-custody procedure.
  2. Contact Our Office
Contact IDTO DNA at 877-680-5800 to speak with one of our DNA consultants. We will explain the process in detail and review your specific immigration circumstance before moving forward.
  3. Case Initiation Process
After you submit the required information and documentation, our partner AABB-accredited laboratory will begin the case initiation process. Once the case is approved for testing, the U.S.-based petitioner’s DNA sample collection appointment will be scheduled at a facility in or near your city.
  4. Embassy Coordination
After the petitioner’s DNA samples are collected, the laboratory will ship the DNA kit and collection instructions directly to the U.S. Embassy in Cairo. The embassy—not the laboratory—is responsible for coordinating the beneficiary’s DNA sample collection appointment abroad.
  5. Laboratory Analysis
Once all DNA samples arrive at the laboratory, the DNA analysis will begin. Upon completion of the testing process, the laboratory will send a copy of the DNA results directly to USCIS or the U.S. Embassy, depending on your case requirements.

How long will the Egypt DNA testing process take?

The turnaround time for DNA test results is approximately three business days once all DNA samples arrive at the laboratory for analysis.

Please keep in mind that the overall immigration DNA testing process is primarily dependent on the U.S. Embassy’s scheduling workload and coordination process. Because of this, the complete process can take anywhere from several weeks to several months depending on your specific circumstance.

How will my DNA samples be collected?

Buccal swabs are the most commonly used method of DNA specimen collection. During the collection process, sterile cotton swabs are placed inside the mouth and rubbed against the inner cheek for approximately 30 seconds to collect epithelial cells for DNA analysis.

Blood sample collections are also available; however, they are considered a more invasive collection method and provide the same level of DNA testing accuracy as standard cheek swab collections.

Please Note:
All beneficiary DNA sample collections in Egypt will be coordinated and performed through the U.S. Embassy in Cairo at the address listed below:

U.S. Embassy in Cairo

Address: 5 Tawfik Diab Street, Garden City, Cairo Egypt

Why DNA Testing Is Suggested for Egyptian Immigration Cases?

DNA testing may be suggested when the documents submitted with a visa application are insufficient or missing to establish the claimed biological relationship. This can occur due to inconsistencies in birth registration records or discrepancies between the documents submitted with the immigration petition.

In these situations, immigration DNA testing is considered one of the most reliable forms of secondary evidence available to help establish the claimed biological relationship and assist in moving the case forward.

Please note that DNA testing does not guarantee visa or CRBA issuance. Final decisions are made solely by the requesting immigration agency based on the totality of the evidence submitted.

Are my DNA Results Be Kept Private?

Yes. All DNA test results are kept confidential and will only be released to the requesting immigration agency and the individuals authorized as part of the DNA testing process.

In addition, all DNA samples are securely maintained by the laboratory for up to 90 days. After that retention period expires, all samples are destroyed in accordance with laboratory procedures.
